CATECHIST INTENT FOR 2020-2021 PROGRAM YEAR
Letter of Intent
We’re getting ready for an exciting year with a new way for families to learn our Catholic faith. Families are warmly welcomed to join A Family of Faith next fall! Our Family Program is an innovative approach for the whole family to learn more about the Catholic faith. A Family of Faith will help you to live and teach your children the Catholic Faith at home.
We are utilizing "A Family of Faith, Catechesis for the Whole Family" as the curriculum for our Religious Education program this year. As this is our first year using the program, we are beginning with "Family of Faith Volume I: The Profession of Faith." After four years, we will have gone through their entire program and have well-catechized families that have learned and applied the Catechism of the Catholic Church to their lives.
Please watch this short video which describes this simple new program:
The RCIC program is an adaptation for children from the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program. This program is for children who were not baptized Catholic before the age 7, and for those children who are coming from another faith community and would like to be baptized in the Catholic Church. Classes are offered for 2nd grade through 8th grade.
On Sunday, February 2, 2020 a few of the High School Confirmation Candidates helped out during Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) during the 12:15 pm Mass.
